I'm a proud San Jose native, educator, and daughter of immigrant parents. They came to America, the beautiful country, because they believed in the values we all share — liberty, equality, and justice. In my classroom, I often tell my students that we inspire change by telling the truth.  I will speak honestly about laws that fail to protect the most vulnerable, produce unsafe communities, and create counterproductive educational outcomes. More importantly, as we voice our shared hope for a brighter future, we will create lasting change. It would be my honor to join voices with you as we build a more beautiful America on behalf of our children, our communities, and our beautiful country.
